Alan Shearer is eyeing Wigan defender Paul Scharner to beef up Newcastle's defense next year. Scharner is 29 years old. He has played at the JJB Stadium for three years. I think someone at Newcastle is finally realizing that to be a good squad, you have to have some good players.
