Manchester City are the first team to place a bid for Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given. City bid 8 million pounds for Given, who is unhappy at the club. We'll now probably start to hear bids from Tottenham and Arsenal. If Given leaves the Magpies, who will start? Will it be life-time number 2 keeper Steve Harper, or will it be Celtic's goalkeeper Artur Boruc who Newcastle have been pursuing for the last few days.
